Â Only 2 miles from the famous Natural Bridge, Natural Bridge Caverns, Virginia Safari Park, Dinosaur Kingdom II, and the Pink Cadillac Diner. Â Just 12 miles north is Lexington, home of the impressive campus of Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute. Â This area is rich in history! Â Take a horse drawn carriage ride through the streets of downtown Lexington, or tube down the James River!

We had an amazing experience at the C&O Caboose! It was easy to find and LaKisha reached out ahead of time with check-in information. There were pictures of the caboose in service and the process of making it an Airbnb which was fascinating. We loved sitting on the patio with the fun exterior lighting, and listening to the rain on the train roof overnight. It was a totally unique and wonderful experience!

We chose Tom's Cabin because we loved the idea of staying in a true log cabin, and it did not disappoint. We especially enjoyed the beautiful woodwork throughout the home, from the handcrafted wood beams and stairs to the thoughtful rustic accents that give the cabin so much charm. We especially loved relaxing on the porch swing and gathering around the custom picnic table to enjoy meals while taking in the peaceful mountain setting. Its rich history adds to the experience, making it feel both unique and welcoming.
